On Friday 13th our oldest cow Bernadette II gave birth to a bull calf. This was not an ordinary birth, as the calf was turned the wrong way round and we had to help by pulling the calf.

After this, everything was fine. The calf”s weight was 23 kg only, but he was healthy and full of energy a little later. This is our 7th bull calf in 2012. So far, we have only 2 breeding calves, but of best quality and we are very satisfied with this year’s calving.

We have awaited this year with eagerness, as the first offspring of our new bull, CUPIDO V. KNAUSSERWALD was about to be born. Cupido has fulfilled our biggest expectations, but now he could present us with a few daughters.

Furthermore, we have got 3 very interesting calves (2 bulls and 1 heifer) through artificial insemination from the Canadian top bull: MAPLE LEA GRAND DUKE 50 G – CAN 10654 : HCE HEVIA, HCE HUGO, HCE HERCULE.
